the honeymoon no longer
daddy went back to work friday morning, and harper woke up at 5:30 am to give him kisses goodbye. we're on our own! when daddy got home, we took harper out for her first night out on the town. we met a few speech and occupational therapists from mommy's work for dinner at pf changs to say goodbye to two of them. afterwards, we stopped at aunt heather and uncle tim's for their neighborhood camp out. harper enjoyed her first bonfire. she certainly was a night owl!

busy day
we started our morning off with harper's first bath. she seemed to really enjoy it, especially the head massage. and we loved seeing our "twiggy" in her froggy towel.
the day ended with a visit from grandma, aunt jen and aunt kelly. aunt kelly was out of town in south africa last week, so harper finally got to meet her world traveling auntie. and she brought harper her first pair of apple bottom jeans!
harper also went back to the pediatrician for her weight check, and is now up 7 ounces from monday! at 5 pounds, 15.5 ounces, she's almost back to her birth weight. she's a good eater!

our little one has arrived
harper elizabeth petrous was born on thursday, july 17th, 2008 at 11:09 am. she weighed 6 pounds, 1 ounce and measured 19.5 inches. for being a week late, much to our surprise, she truly fits the little one description. we are so happy to finally have our daughter here, and can't wait for you all to meet her!
Here's two awesome members of the St. Joes staff that helped bring Harper safely to us. Thank you Dr. Jones and Sherri.
