harper's baptism

harper was baptized on october 12th. she slept through the entire ceremony, except when the water was poured over her head. she woke up startled, but didn't make a peep. then she went back to slumberland.

my nana and my grandma

four generations - the godparents

uncle chris and aunt stephanie got to meet harper for the first time -
the baptismal gown was 40 years old. uncle chris was the first to wear it, all the way through aunt heather, mommy, ethan, griffin and harper.

starfished

the reason we had to give up the swaddle at 2 months...

new discoveries

harper has been making new discoveries every day-

discovering my feet

i'm starting to turn over from my back to belly, especially at night. then i cry for mom and dad to come get me cause i'm stuck and can't figure out how to roll back. it's such a fun game!

i'm starting to get better and stronger at tummy time

ooh, what's that with all the lights and movement? the tv!

too big!

we tried harper's halloween hat on a few weeks before the big day, but it appears that her noggin is a bit too small!

new medicine

the pediatrician prescribed prevacid for harper's reflux, and it seems to be working. she even seems to enjoy the taste of orange granules and water via syringe!

after her first dose of prevacid- not too sure yet about this stuff

i love my new bouncy seat!

buddy walk

mommy, daddy and harper participated in the national down syndrome society's local buddy walk at a nearby park. it turned out to be a beautiful sunday afternoon, and harper enjoyed her walk in the stroller and baby bjorn. after the walk, we dined on pizza and dessert while listening to music and bidding on silent auction items. we won all three we bid on, including a golf foursome for daddy. not sure when he's going to have the time to use that...

auntie jen

mommy had to go back to work for a training before her maternity leave was officially over, so aunt jen came and stayed with us to watch harper for 2 days. aunt jen's arms sure got a workout from holding her most of the day! harper loved hanging out with her aunt, and even showed her appreciation by wearing her "i love my aunt" onesie. thank you, aunt jen!
